NDR functions by establishing a baseline of normal network activity. To do this, the solution runs in ‘monitor’ mode for several weeks. After this phase, we switch it to ‘alert mode’, where it will alert us to anomalies on your network.
When responding to alerts, we first check for false positives: is this normal? Is this some change or project we didn’t know about? Just asking these questions will make your network more secure, because the answers contribute to your visibility and control. If the alert is not a false positive, we respond appropriately.
